Capital Supply of Columbia was founded on April 13, 1956 by Charles L. McCall, a former World War II Veteran. When Capital Supply first opened it was called Capital Salvage and Supply. During the first years they carried both new and used products.
Capital Supply’s first location was at 1910 Two Notch Road, presently where Benedict College’s football stadium resides. In 1999 they moved to their new and current location at 2508 Two Notch Road. The State newspaper once said, “Capital Supply is the dark and dusty repository of exotic hardware.”
Currently Mr. McCall’s step children, the McKissick’s run the daily operation of the business. They pride themselves on running the business the way Mr. McCall (Mr. Charlie to most) started it, with a HUGE emphasis on customer service with loyal employees. Some of the employees have been with them for many years, and they all have experience in their respective fields. If you don’t know what you need go on in and they will be glad to help!
